Is that red bean paste? How do you make the filling? Always wanted to try making mochi, but my Japanese cookbook doesn't have recipes for deserts... (Has lots of other great dishes though.)
I bought it at the store. I roll out the dough into a thin flat cake, put the stuffing in the middle of it. Then moisten the edge of the thin cakes, and connect them. Flip the seam side down.
I adore them, I want to make them a day!
